Computer games in education in Denmark

Computer games are the favourite hobby of most children. During the past few years the computer game culture has come into existence among children, a culture that most of the adults know quite little about. Computer games are a new genre to be considered by schools and integrated into the process of education.

EMU – Denmark’s Portal on Education - offers inspiration, information and arguments with regard to computer games and education. Two educational processes have been worked out: one for the middle-range stage and one for senior school.

On the website you can find the answer to the question why computers are needed in education and see, read and listen to arguments by people who deal with computer games, teaching and education. You can also read about online games and age limits. The website offers access to discussion material to be used by 7th-10th formers (13 -16 year old pupils).
