Young Norwegian filmmakers highly appreciated at Camera Zizanio
The young Norwegian filmmakers Even Grimsgaard and Edvard Gjessing Bakken received prizes at the International Film Festival for Children and Young People, Camera Zizanio in Greece.
The film Egil is a story about a 15 year old boy who is exposed to harassment at school. The short film was made by a group of boys who are interested in films and who are 10th formers of the Østerås school; the film was produced by Even Grimsgaard and directed by Edvard Gjessing Bakken.
Their production company is called Gullfilm and this is their third film. The film Egil also won the TILT short film festival earlier this year. The Gullfilm-boys do everything themselves although they do get support from the municipality in the form of borrowing professional equipment from the Media Factory in Akershus.
