13-06-2008 EtNorden 08 is a conference for ethnic minority youth in the Nordic countries. It will give the possibility to learn about project management and start projects that will strengthen Nordic cooperation between minority organisations. |

31-07-2008 Hippalot is children’s very own special festival. The theme is circus and it will be explored through drama, workshops, visual art, dance, music, circus and encounters with a host of art forms. International guests will attend the events. Most of the performances are in Finnish but English-language guests haven’t been forgotten. |

How has children's literature reflected the actual history of a country or people – and how has consciousness of the past influenced stories for children? There are many general topics related to the past and present in literature for children, as well as specific periods and events in history, various geographical areas, and cultures. |
